Fashion in the air

Kunsthal Rotterdam is hosting an exhibition of the outfits of the cabin crews from all over the world starting 60s.
The collection is owned by the Dutch collector Cliff Muskiet. An inspiring exhibition with wonderful pieces designed by Yves Saint Laurent, Cristobal Balenciaga, Christian Dior and others. From the very elegant and chic costumes to the ones with every possible mash up of the colors, prints and even futuristic elements. Enjoy!

Dia dhui, Éireann

A very spontaneous trip to Dublin this beginning of autumn marked a check on my visited countries list but also got my passion for the store/building fronts unrevealed.

A famous Temple Bar: love how the entire front of the bar is full of different old format logos, flowers hanging and tourists messing (me, as well) around it. It was difficult to catch the photo without any single person in it.

The city is a one big castle. Buildings with all the little cute towers on top of it, decorated with the colorful flags like this one.

Orange bricks everywhere

unless you want to get a pink or a blue boutique.

Or a pink door to sweeten a rainy morning.

And a green one to match the entire country's color.

About the doors: this street. Instead of a house number, the color of the door can be used as well.

Although the city can show off as a medieval one, when wandering around, found this very eighties or something back then, around that time FLY 747 logo. One of my favorites; it sticks very well with the rest of the neighborhood.

On the way to the Guinness brewery, found Oscar Wilde's fancy shmancy house/apartment, you call it.

The Liberty Market was one of the pearls on the way. I really like the logo. Once I have my own store - this goes on the wall as well.
Yes, they are right: everything under one roof. I don't know how I resisted to purchase a shiny Gucci bag for 15 eur. Couldn't take a picture either, wouldn't dare in front of tough looking Irish ladies. But I am glad they let me in this very local market with their own rules.

Also passed by this cute little house. Again red color, it seems to be an essential for this city.

More and more colors: restaurant (closed forever, I guess) with this wonderful street light made from a colorful glass. How old would it be?

And no, I have never reached the Guinness brewery. Wasn't upset though, reviews say it is not that impressive, especially for one who is not a fan of the beer.

A place to remember was this cozy pub in the mountain village Avoca where I had a traditional Irish beef stew and few loud laughs with local people. Only laughs, because couldn't understand a word. Accent is less strong in Dublin.

And a teeny-tiny gift shop.

Contrasts

The period until summer has been mixed with shapes, colors and shoes:

Sneakers vs. Healed sandals

Traveling day vs. night

South

vs. North

and palm trees of course:

These boots are made for walking

While visiting Utrecht (so called smaller version of Amsterdam) on Sunday, I was impressed how cozy and vintage the town is.

I usually tend to find everything what was on my list without the map. Improved this over the years. Hang around and you will see all what you wanted (or didn't want) to see.

This store which I found just randomly walking in the street is something really fashionable with those big ass sweaters in all possible colors and cowboy boots (plenty of them!) - these are very trendy in the Netherlands. Sometimes I get it, sometimes I really don't.

Enjoy:

Winter sun in Lisbon

I was planning to visit Portugal for a long time already. And I did it! Nice, long weekend was all dedicated to the amazing Lisbon. And its warmness!

Enjoyed sun (and freedom, because it rhymes so good), food (ate only sea food, because it is the best there), architecture, long walks and breathtaking views. But the most of all - enjoyed myself!
Een moment voor jezelf - guess what this means in Dutch.

Pictures says it all:
